find out more about the studio, its philosophy and its real owners...

the studio

The studio is located between Roubaix, Croix and Hem, a stone's throw from Parc Barbieux. Created by and for musicians, the studio's philosophy is to put the artist at the center of his or her project.

To do this, the control room and the recording booth are one and the same, located in a 20m² room, in order to facilitate production work.

The studio is equipped with Antelope's latest audio interface, the Discrete 8 Pro Synergy Core, for even greater flexibility, and an Audient ASP800 preamp for the best of both worlds: the warmth of analog and the fluidity of digital.

For monitoring, and to work with even more comfort, musicians have at their disposal a Mackie HM-800 amplifier and a Beyerdynamic DT 770 M headphone

The studio also features a comfortable sofa and a coffee machine always filled with fresh coffee (or tea) for breaks and to work on your project in the best possible conditions.

the philosophy

I believe that music is a powerful means of self-expression and I want to offer each artist a caring environment where they can be themselves and concentrate on the essence of their art.

I'm convinced that the best music comes from a combination of talent, passion and an environment conducive to creativity. That's why I've equipped my studio with the latest technology to enable artists to realize their projects with the highest sound quality, while maintaining a warm, intimate environment conducive to creation.

My aim is to create an immersive artistic experience, where each musician can express themselves freely and create authentic, moving music.

Welcome to my studio, where the artist is at the center of everything.

the pilot

My name is Julien Guyot, and I'm 39 years old. After 10 years working in B2B customer relations as a IT technical expert, I decided to change careers to do what I have always loved: working in music as a sound technician.

I've been a musician for 25 years, first as a drummer, then later with computer-aided design.

I was trained in sound engineering at the Campus des Musiques Actuelles in Valenciennes, under the guidance of Fabien Ménart, Arnaud Adam and Paul-Alain Fontaine, as well as Patrice Kubiak from Studio Ka, and exceptional contributors such as Franck Marco (Les Innocents), Juan Rozoff, Stéphane Buriez (Loudblast) and Loïc Maurin (M83).

Today, I'm setting up my own recording and music production studio in Roubaix, in my own home (or almost...): Studio Lunestine.

the owners

But why is the studio called Studio Lunestine?

Lunestine is a contraction of the names of the three owners: Nestor, Lucette and Augustine, the little cats who have taken over the premises.

Let me reassure allergy sufferers: you won't come across them in the studio (they're just there for photos), but they may show the tip of their nose when you get there.

services on offer

The studio offers recording, mixing, and mastering services, with the possibility of working remotely, or traveling depending on your needs, and the project.

recording / production

The studio has the capability to record up to 16 simultaneous microphone takes and 32 tracks, depending on the project. For larger projects, please feel free to contact me.

Furthermore, as a musician, I can accompany you in the creation of your music productions. The studio also has a few instruments at your disposal if needed.

Here is a list of equipment available at the studio

I work with the latest version of Pro Tools Studio, but you can also send me your projects from Logic Pro, or Ableton Live if required. I also use UAD Spark suite, Plugin Alliance plugins, among others.

If you prefer to work remotely, you can send your files to me through my secure cloud space. All studio work is securely backed up (local, cloud, NAS server) and power inverters are set to avoid any unforeseen issues.
